I grabbed my coat and we left to go to the park. We reached the park before Elena. Amy was like the beauty of the park. There’s a resting place in the park. It is the shape of a circle, with benches around. There’s a small circular garden patch where a lot of flowers are blooming.
Me: What a lovely day!Amy: Look at these flowers, daddy, so lovely.
She bent down and was caressing those flowers.
Me: You’re such a romantic girl.Amy: Yup! I can’t help it!Me: That’s good, that’s good! Don’t be ashamed of it. I like romantic girls.Amy: Really?
Me: Yes! I mean. It’s nice to talk to a girl that likes things like flowers, romantic movies, and whatnot.Amy: Aw, thanks, daddy!
Me: Anyway. I’m going to sit down on that bench and watch you play with the flowers.Amy: Okay dad, I’ll be with you in a minute.
I settled down on the bench to relax. Amy joined me after a few minutes.
Me: You said Elena will be here any minute, right?Amy: Yeah she should be here by now, I don’t know what happened to her.
She checked her phone to see if there’s anything from Elena.
Amy: Oh shit!Me: Amy! Language!Amy: Sorry dad!Me: What’s going on?
Amy: Elena said she won’t be able to meet us today.Me: Oh, did she say why?Amy: She met a boy at the mall and he invited her to the movies.Me: Oh, I see.
Amy: I’m going to text her and tell her that we are going to be here for a few hours.Me: It seems like your friend is really outgoing.Amy: Yeah, she’s always making new friends, nothing like me though.Me: Why do you say that?
Amy: I don’t know. I’m really shy. It’s hard for me to make new friends. People always think I’m boring.Me: That’s nonsense. You’re nice and funny.Amy: Do you think that?
Me: Of course, honey. Besides, now you have a new friend, right?Amy: Oh yes! You’re right! I’ve got a new friend now! So what would my new friend like to do?
Me: So is there anyone special in your life? I mean. Since you’re a young and beautiful girl. I’m sure that boys would. You know.Amy: Daddy. Are you trying to ask me if I have a boyfriend?
Me: Well. Yes.Amy: Yes, I do have a boyfriend. His name is Farhan.Me: Oh, and is he here with you? I mean, did he come with you to visit the country?
Amy: Oh no, he stayed. He hasn’t texted or called me since I got here.Me: Really?Amy: Yes, I’m worried actually. Maybe something bad happened.Me: I’m sure it’s nothing.
Amy: Let’s hope so.Me: Did you talk to your mom yesterday?
Amy: Oh yeah! I told her about you, the nice apartment you have and how much of a gentleman you were to me. She sounded kinda surprised, not the way she imagined you to be I guess.
Me: Well, that’s good, right?Amy: Yeah, she stopped complaining about me spending time with you so, I’d say it’s pretty good.Me: Good, I haven’t spoken to your mom since she left, so it’s nice to hear that.
Amy: Dad, I’m starving.Me: Oh, I’m sorry honey. We should have eaten something before coming here. What do you want to eat?
Amy: How about a burger?Me: All right! Burger it is. Wait here for a moment.Amy: Okay.
There’s a guy who is making burgers near the park. I bought 2 burgers and headed back to Amy.
Amy: Man! I haven’t eaten one of these since I was little.Me: Really?Amy: Yes! Mom doesn’t want me to eat street food. She and Brad say they are bad for your health and that they are the worst.
Me: Oh. It must be a pretty boring place to live in!Amy: It is! We don’t have parks as beautiful as this one where I live either.Me: It looks exactly like the one we used to go to when you were little, remember? I remember you loved going to the park in the summer!
Amy: Yeah! You and mom did everything together.Me: Yeah, I remember.Amy: I hope that one day we could go out together as a family.Me: Me too honey. I’d love to spend some time as a family as we used to.
Amy: Thanks, dad. I’m glad to know that you still feel something for mom.Me: Honey, your mom has a special place in my heart, as well as you.Amy: Wow! Your such a romantic guy! Totally unexpected!
Me: Well, I think I’ve caught the romantic bug from you!Amy: I’m glad then!Me: Okay, let’s eat before it gets cold.Amy: Yes, you’re right!
We finished the burger quickly as we were so hungry.
Me: Honey?Amy: Yes?Me: Would you mind if I take a picture of you? The only ones I have of you are when you were little so.
Amy: Of course I don’t mind dad! I have to take a picture of you as well. To show Elena what you look like!Me: Great! It’s a deal then! Come on! Let’s go over there.Amy: Okay.
There’s a fountain in the park. We decided to take pics with the fountain in the background. I took my phone to click her picture.
Me: Okay, ready?Amy: Yup.Me: Smile…and…fantastic.
She’s looking great in the pic.
Amy: Now let me take one of you.Me: All right.
I was about to hand my phone to her. Somebody bothered us.
Guy: Excuse me, sir.Me: Yes?Guy: Sorry to bother you, sir. My name is Rick. I’m a professional photographer. May I ask, is she your girlfriend?
Me: No, she’s my daughter. Why?Guy: Oh I see. In that case, may I ask if I can take a few pictures of her?Me: No.
Guy: Sorry for being so rude sir. I’m participating in a beauty contest and I just saw your daughter. Let me tell you, she’s the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. I hope I’m not offending you, sir, I mean it with all the respect.
Me: Well, you kinda are. Now, I’m going to ask you to leave.Guy: Please! Please, sir! If you let me take a picture of your daughter, and I win, I’ll split the prize with you. What do you say?
The guy was young and he had a professional camera on him. So I decided to let him take one.
Me: Okay, you can take just ONE picture! That’s all.Guy: Sounds like a great deal!
He started talking to my daughter.
Guy: Hello, what’s your name?Amy: I’m AmyGuy: Okay, Amy I want you to go over there and give me your best pose.Amy: Like this?
She was standing in front of the fountain, with her hands on her hip. She’s posing like a model.
Guy: Yes! There you go! Perfect!
He just clicked one pic as I told him.
Guy: Thanks, Sir. Now if I win. I mean. If we win the first prize, I’ll share it with you guys. Here’s my card.
I took the card.
Guy: I think this is a great opportunity for girls like your daughter to enter the modeling industry.Me: My daughter is here on vacation so she doesn’t live nearby. I don’t think she’ll be able to work as a model.
Guy: Oh, that’s a shame, but in case you’re interested. There’s a website where you could take pictures of your daughter and make money. Your daughter seems to be a little shy but the camera loves her. The picture was fantastic. You should think about it!
Me: I will. Now if you excuse us we have the stuff to do.Guy: Of course sir. Have a good day.
The guy left.
Amy: Sounds like a great way of making money daddy!Me: Honey, I don’t want to think about that anymore. These people are pervs, you can’t trust them.
Amy: Okay, I guess you’re right. Come on, give me your phone. You still owe me a picture, remember?Me: Oh right! I almost forgot. All right! Whenever you want.
She took my phone and was ready to take my pic.
Amy: And… done!
We went back to the bench.
Amy: Okay. Now I’m going to send it to Elena.Me: Wait here for a minute.Amy: Ok.
I went to the playing area and grabbed a frisbee.
Me: Look what I’ve brought.Amy: Oh! A Frisbee! Cool!Me: Yup! Do you want to play?Amy: Of course!
Me: All right! Let’s play then!Amy: This is going to be fun!Me: Okay, you stay here. I’m going over there and you try to catch it, all right?Amy: Okay.
I went around 10 steps back. She’s standing just in front of the fountain. There’s nobody around us.
Me: Ready?Amy: Whenever you want daddy!Me: Okay, here it goes!
I threw it straight towards Amy.
Amy: I got it! I got it!
The frisbee was over her head. But she could grab it. It was too high for her. She jumped to try and grab.
Amy: Oh. Nooo!
She fell in the water pool behind her. I came running.
Me: Amy!
I quickly helped her out of the fountain. Her clothes were all wet. She fell completely into the water.
Me: Amy! Are you all right?Amy: I’m soaking wet!Me: What happened?Amy: I tripped over a stone. I think.
What? She’s not wearing a bra! I could clearly see her nipples as her t-shirt was wet. I have to cover her before everyone sees that.
Me: Oh honey! It was my fault! Here. Take my coat.
She took and wore it immediately.
Amy: Thanks, dad!Me: It’s getting late, maybe we should call it a day.Amy: Okay.
Me: I don’t want to leave you alone, so I’m going to walk you to the hotel. If that’s all right with you?Amy: Of course it is, daddy! Thanks.
We walked for 15 minutes to reach her hotel. We were at her door.
Amy: Here we are.Me: Nice hotel!Amy: Yup! It’s a bit expensive but worth every penny. Besides, mom is paying for it so I can’t complain.
Me: I’m sorry for what happened today. If I…Amy: Dad, it wasn’t your fault. Thanks for giving me your coat. I’m going to take it off.
Me: Keep it! You can give it back next time we see each other.Amy: Are you sure?Me: Yes!
Amy: Close your eyes.Me: What?Amy: Close your eyes!
I obeyed her and closed my eyes. Suddenly I felt something on my lips. Oh my God! She kissed me on my lips.
Me: What! You kissed me!Amy: Yup! You acted like a gentleman today so. I wanted to reward you somehow. I hope I didn’t overstep.Me: No, you didn’t. Honey. I don’t know what to say. I just.
Amy: Shh… Elena is probably asleep and I don’t want to wake her up! I’ll see you tomorrow, right?Me: Of. Of course!
Amy: Okay, bye daddy! Love you!Me: Bye honey! Love you too!
